Davao City Water District community partners planted 250 Bogo and Sagimsim trees at Purok 11 in Lipadas, Brgy. Manuel Guianga on April 22, 2025 to celebrate Earth Day. The activity was held in partnership with the Sarro Watershed Association (SARWA) and the Manuel Guianga Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) to promote environment protection and sustainable practices.
They also held a clean-up drive along the Sarro River and conducted an Information, Education, and Communication campaign on watersheds and the Davao City Watershed Code.
SARWA is among the 12 partner Peoples Organizations that support the implementation of DCWDโs Integrated Watershed Management Program that protects and rehabilitates the project sites in Malagos, Mt. Tipolog-Tamugan, and Mt. Talomo-Lipadas watersheds to ensure sustainable water sources in Davao City.
