Davao City Water District warns the public against dealing with fixers who claim they can expedite the application process for a new service connection (NSC). DCWD emphasized that all applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and fixers cannot speed up the process.
This advisory is given in light of the recent reports received by DCWD regarding fixers offering to process NSC applications while collecting exorbitant fees on top of the standard charges. DCWD assured the public that there is no need to engage with fixers when applying for NSC as its processes are simplified and streamlined in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The water utility has made the application more convenient and accessible through its face-to-face and online processing. NSC applications may be submitted at DCWD’s offices in Matina, Bajada, and Toril or customers may apply online through DCWD’s official website at www.davao-water.gov.ph. Likewise, application forms for walk-in applicants and account creation in DCWD website are free of charge.
DCWD has also extended its PhP500 installment offer for NSC starting January 8, 2025 until December 31, 2025. With this option, qualified applicants will only have to pay the initial PhP500 down payment and pay the remaining PhP5,500 in 11 monthly installments of PhP500 fixed amount to be added to the monthly water bill.
DCWD further clarified that it does not endorse any plumbers or individuals to install plumbing provision (𝑎𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑔) of customers.
The public is advised to report any offer of fixing to DCWD thru its landline hotline (235-3293), text support (0927-798-8966, 0908-441-0653, and 0925-511-3293), or chat support (www.facebook.com/officialDCWD or www.davao-water.gov.ph). (𝐾𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑎 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑒 𝐴. 𝑀𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑜𝑧𝑎)
