Two days before she officially takes over the helm of the political leadership of Cebu Province, Governor Pam Baricuatro’s Food Security Program takes off with the staging of a one-day Orientation/Workshop On Upland and Fish Cage Farming.
As her Food Security Adviser, I decided to lay the groundwork for the Fish Sufficiency Program of Cebu ahead of her official assumption so that the program could be launched during her First 100 Days as Governor.
The most important component of this program is the “Rent-to-Own” Program of Inca Mariculture Company for the Fish Cages which would allow poor fishermen to start fish cage farming with minimal capitalization.
The Fish Production Program will also be linked to the Pamilya Food Center, a market chain which will be operated by PWDs, Senior Citizens and Out-of-School Youth.

The event will be hosted by Aquaculture enthusiasts Rolly Ybañez and his wife Yolly who own the MNE Gamefarm.
The event will involve resource persons from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 7, the South East Asia Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC), Inca Mariculture Company and Braveheart Farms.
Registration is Free and will start at 8 a.m. while the Orientation/Training will start at 9 a.m.
Lunch will be served but only 150 participants could be accomodated.
