Upon the invitation of our dearest Tita Lorna Silverio, I, together with my girlfriends Anna and Nina, had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Island of Balesin, for the second time around. And as they say, second time is a charm.

The 7-themed villages – Balesin, Phuket, Bali, Costa del Sol, Toscano, St. Tropez and Mykonos, allowed the guests to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of these 7 popular international tourist destinations, all in one location. In just 2 hours, we travelled from Asia to Europe!

The resort offers a complete package for their members and guests. For those who want to enjoy beach life, each village has their own beachfront and swimming pools. The more active ones, can enjoy the different sports facilities and activities on the island (Pickleball court is the newest addition). One will surely have a gastronomic delight with the variety of restaurants serving authentic cuisines. Top of our list are the restos in the village of Toscana, Bali, Phuket and Balesin. They also have Korean, Japanese and seafood restaurants.

Now, for those who just want to relax, chill or meditate, they have a spa, a chapel and lounge chairs spread along the shore. Strolling along the beachfront, or the inner island streets or on the island’s lush grounds can be very calming and therapeutic. If you want to take home some a part of Balesin, they have a gift shop selling Balesin souvenir items like shirts, hats, bags, etc. They can be pricey but quality is good. Right inside the pre=departure area, they have a store selling the island’s own produce…vegetables, fruits, and shrimps. We brought home their locally made sea salt mixed with either Oregano, Rosamary, Thyme or Basil. Perfect for seasoning!

This was my second but hopefully not the last time to visit the Island. More attractions are being planned to make Balesin Island a more exciting and charming destination to go to. And I surely want to experience them again, and again, and again.
