Amid growing public concern over the country’s ongoing political tensions and governance issues, Gov. Edwin Jubahib, popularly known as “Kuya Gob,” renewed his strong call for integrity, transparency, and accountability in public service.

In a recent public gathering, Jubahib emphasized that corruption remains one of the biggest obstacles to national progress, urging government officials at all levels to uphold honesty and prioritize the welfare of the Filipino people over personal interests.

“The people deserve a government that listens, serves, and remains faithful to the public trust,” Jubahib said. “At a time when the nation is facing political uncertainty and division, leaders must stand firm against corruption and abuse.”

Known for his grassroots leadership style and pro-people governance programs in Davao del Norte, the governor stressed that genuine public service should be anchored on transparency and compassion, especially during challenging times.

Jubahib also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and actively participate in safeguarding democratic institutions. According to him, fighting corruption is not only the responsibility of government officials but also of every Filipino committed to nation-building.

Political observers noted that the governor’s statement comes amid heightened national discussions on political accountability, governance reforms, and public trust in institutions. Supporters of Jubahib praised his consistent advocacy for clean governance and his firm stance against irregularities in government transactions.

Despite the tense political climate, Jubahib called for unity among Filipinos, emphasizing that cooperation and principled leadership are essential in overcoming the country’s challenges.

“As public servants, we must lead by example,” he said. “The fight against corruption is a fight for the future of our children and the dignity of our nation.”

His message resonated with many local leaders and residents who continue to call for stronger reforms and ethical leadership across the country.
