DAVAO CITY — At least nine foreign embassies and representatives have visited Davao City since the beginning of the year, underscoring the city’s growing role as a hub for international cooperation, trade, and investment in Mindanao.

Officials from countries including China, Ukraine, India, Japan, Norway, Denmark, Australia, as well as representatives from the European Union and the United States, conducted separate visits to the city to discuss possible areas of partnership with local authorities.

The engagements spanned a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure development, maritime training, technology, tourism, and cultural exchange.

During the visits, Chinese officials highlighted the importance of strengthening cultural and social ties, while Ukrainian representatives explored potential cooperation in education, agribusiness, trade, and technology-driven development.
