Fullblood Shima Wagyu Young Bulls In Mindanao! (FOOD FOR THOUGHT by Manny Piñol)

Manny Piñol

The first batch of Fullblood Wagyu Bulls of the Shima Line from Australia will be arriving in Mindanao 2nd week of October to serve as the core breeding materials for members of the Philippine Wagyu Association.

The shipment of the first batch was facilitated by Australia-based Wagyu exponent, Arnel Corpuz, and Neo Abalos of the Mt. View Ranch.

Another shipment consisting of additional bulls and heifers is expected before the end of the year to complete the foundation stocks of the PWA as it aims to build a Wagyu Industry in the Philippines where all of its breeders and production will be included in a national registry.

This is part of PWA’s vision to introduce high-value Cattle to Filipino farmers by breeding what will be later called as the “Filipino Wagyu.”

Thank you Kuyang Arnel Corpuz, Neo Abalos and David Reed of Australian Export (AUSTREX) for the assistance and support.
