Tireless Mayor Of Catigbian, Bohol Travels From North To South To Craft Livelihood Program For The Poor!
Mayor Benjie Oliva of Catigbian, Bohol is one of a kind.
On Monday, he traveled to Piddig, Ilocos Norte to attend the 4th Wagyu, Sorghum & Soybeans Forum.
Today, he visited our Wagyu Farm in Polomolok, South Cotabato with Councilor Hernan Estabilla, to see the actual set up of a Cattle Feedlot.
Catigbian will establish a Cattle Farm as livelihood program for families who will graduate from the 4Ps program of DSWD.
DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian provided funds for a Cattle Livelihood Program for former 4Ps members.
Since the amount is not enough to buy one Cattle for each of the 1,000 graduating members, Catigbian LGU is providing a counterpart.
Now, each family will have a cow which will be bred with Wagyu Bulls to be acquired by the LGU.
Mayor Oliva said that because of this program, 4Ps members would like to graduate early from the program.😃
