Davao City Water District community partners planted 150 tree seedlings in Mt. Talomo-Lipadas Watershed as part of the Earth Day celebration. The activity was held in partnership with the Barangay Women’s Association to promote environment protection, conservation, and stewardship.
The activity was held at Purok 10 in Daliaon Plantation on April 25, 2025 with 20 participants. Planted were a variety of forest and fruit trees including Narra, Sagimsim, Lawaan, and Antipolo.
This initiative is part of DCWD’s Integrated Watershed Management Program that protects and rehabilitates the project sites in Malagos, Mt. Tipolog-Tamugan, and Mt. Talomo-Lipadas watersheds to ensure sustainable water sources in Davao City. (𝐾𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑎 𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑒 𝐴. 𝑀𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑜𝑧𝑎)
