Emergency power interruptions on January 8 in Davao del Norte

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct emergency power interruptions on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, affecting customers in different parts of Davao del Norte. These are necessary to facilitate emergency line works along the Tagum-Panabo Circumferential Road.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 3:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Specifically affected are those from the Tadeco Substation up to Purok 10 Carmen, along the highway of Tagum-Panabo Circumferential Road, and from Purok 5-B Acacia to Nanyo Elementary School and nearby areas.

In connection, a 3-hour power interruption will be conducted anytime between 12:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. affecting customers from Purok 5-B Acacia to Purok 10 Carmen and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these emergency power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
