DAVAO CITY – Telecommunications giant Globe Telecom unveiled its plans for G-Day 2025 on Tuesday, September 3, marking the 10th year of its annual customer appreciation event with expanded rewards, business support programs, and nationwide activities.
At the G-Day media launch at The Globe Tower, G-Day program lead Raymond Baritua said this year’s edition is “extra special” as the company celebrates a decade of “rewarding, surprising, and delighting” customers.
Baritua said the centerpiece of the festivities is the G-Raffle Rush, which runs from September 1 to October 31. He added that customers can join through the GlobeOne app by redeeming free raffle entries or using reward points for additional chances.
Weekly prizes included grocery sprees, GCash credits, flagship devices, and a Japan trip with four business-class seats via All Nippon Airways (ANA). Globe’s most loyal customers will receive thousands of free entries starting September 17.
Major prizes also feature a brand-new BYD Atto 3 Dynamic EV with charging credits, a deluxe studio unit at Amaia Steps Pasig, and a two-bedroom house and lot at Mayascapes Trece Martires.
Baritua confirmed that G-Day will also expand beyond Metro Manila with regional pop-ups in convergence areas, including barangays and streets in Cebu, to bring the celebrations closer to customers nationwide.
He said the annual G Fair returns for its third year on September 19 to 20 at the BGC Amphitheater, featuring 30 local small businesses showcasing Filipino-made products.
Globe is partnering with Canva, Meta, and Lazada to provide workshops on digital marketing and branding, while experts from the Department of Trade and Industry, Go Negosyo, G-Cash, and Globe Business will offer one-on-one mentorship for entrepreneurs.
“Customers can also enjoy the G-Day Surprise Gift, daily rewards accessible via the GlobeOne app, ranging from vouchers and lifestyle perks to bigger prizes,” Baritua said.
Globe vice president and head of the Field Value Tribe, Bianca Wong, highlighted the evolution of G-Day since its launch in 2014, saying it began as a way to reaffirm Globe’s commitment to keeping “the customer at the heart of everything we do.”
Wong said the company now leverages AI for hyper-personalized rewards and experiences.
“This will be our 10th year of 0917 G-Day. What started as a day of surprises for our loyal customers has grown into a two-month-long celebration for all Filipinos,” Wong said.
Roche Vandenberghe, chief marketing officer of the Globe, said this year’s lineup includes community celebrations, local delicacies, and a much-awaited fan meet with P-pop group BINI.
Vandenberghe said G-Day has been their most significant way of celebrating their customers for the past decade. “Everything we’ve shared today is really for them.”
