DAVAO CITY – The Philippines Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) and the Davao Travel Agencies Association (DTAA) officially sealed their agreement to bring the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) VisMin Edition to Davao City in 2026.

PTAA executive vice president Jaison Yang and DTAA president Gian Carlo Caguiat formalized the partnership in a ceremony held at a hotel in Davao City on Friday, October 17.

Yang said the collaboration aims to expand the reach of the country’s biggest travel expo to Mindanao, following its successful runs in Cagayan de Oro in 2024 and Iloilo in 2025.

Caguiat described the partnership of the two travel agencies as a “significant milestone” for the Davao Region and Davao City’s tourism and travel industry.

He noted that the 2026 Davao leg will feature special airline fares, exclusive tour discounts, and promotions on cruises and other travel products.

“These are the same exciting deals travelers from Luzon have enjoyed for years. This partnership will open more opportunities and introduce new destinations and travel products to Mindanao,” Caguiat said.

He added that hosting the 2026 TTE VisMin Edition will boost Davao’s local tourism and economy while reinforcing the city’s status as a premier travel and business hub in the southern Philippines.

The event will also feature a two-day business-to-business session where buyers—composed of travel agents from Visayas and Mindanao—can connect with local and international tour operators.

“This is a time for Davao Region and the city to showcase our attractions as travel agents and tour operators from across the country and abroad visit the city,” Caguiat said.

He emphasized that the event will widen sellers’ market reach and enable travel agents to strengthen their networks.

“For Davao, the TTE VisMin Edition is the perfect moment to highlight the best it can offer tourists, as we bring the experience closer to the people of Mindanao through this partnership,” the DTAA president added.

Every year, the PTAA hosts a three-day Travel Tour Expo in Manila, showcasing all aspects of travel—from airline tickets and hotel accommodations to local and international tour packages and cruises.

Caguiat said the 2026 TTE will be a significant event for the travel industry, underscoring PTAA and DTAA’s shared commitment to boosting tourism growth and recovery through new destinations and experiences.
