Sara tops WR Numero survey on 2028 presidential race

DAVAO CITY – Vice President Sara Duterte emerged as the leading contender in the latest WR Numero survey on pre-election preferences for the 2028 presidential race.

Respondents were asked, should the 2028 national elections be held today, who would they vote for president? Duterte topped the list with 33.3 percent, followed by Senator Raffy Tulfo with 13.4 percent.

Former vice president and current Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo placed third with 13 percent, while Senator Christopher Lawrence Go ranked fourth with four percent.

Senator Robin Padilla followed with 3.3 percent, along with former Senator Grace Poe who posted the same score. Senator Risa Hontiveros registered 2.4 percent.

Other names included in the survey were Senator Bam Aquino (2 percent), Senator Kiko Pangilinan (1.6 percent), Leyte 1st District Rep. and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez (0.8 percent), Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong (0.5 percent), and Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla (0.3 percent).

Based on factional partisanship, the Vice President dominated among “pro-Duterte” respondents with 69 percent, with Robredo placing a distant second at 7 percent. Robredo, however, led among opposition supporters with 52 percent.

Duterte also topped preference rankings across major geographic areas, scoring 23 percent in Metro Manila, 20 percent in the rest of Luzon, 43 percent in the Visayas, and 58 percent in Mindanao.

By age group, she secured 36 percent among voters aged 30 and below, 34 percent among those aged 31 to 59, and 20 percent among respondents aged 60 and above.
