Vice Pres. Sara Duterte declared over the weekend that she ready to face all three impeachment complaints filed against her, stressing that she has not committed anything against the law.
She revealed that her lawyers are prepared with their defense the moment the impeachment proceedings and trial start.
Vice President Sara also bared that her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte is among the lawyers who will defend her. She said that her father, who once served as Davao City prosecutor, offered to be her defense lawyer after she declined to receive his financial support. She revealed that her father asked her about the status of her case during the family’s traditional observance and partaking of noche buena.
Vice President Sara Duterte is facing three impeachment charges initiated by Party-list representatives identified with CPP/NPA terrorists, a band of Catholic priests, and some lawyers. The three groups filed similar issues and charges which stemmed from QuadCom investigation revolving mainly on the expenditures of the OVP’s ₱125-million Confidential Intelligence Fund.
