When whispers turn into sworn statements, when allegations are no longer murmurs in the dark but spoken openly by individuals claiming firsthand knowledge — the nation must pause.
Recent pronouncements reportedly involving marine officers, assisted by Atty. Levito D. Baligod, have detonated a political bomb: suitcases filled with billions allegedly delivered to the highest corridors of power — to the President, to the Speaker of the House, to Cong. Zaldy Co, to several lawmakers, and even to former Senator Sonny Trillanes, with claims that millions of dollars were funneled toward the International Criminal Court.
These are not small accusations. These are not trivial rumors. These are allegations that, if proven true, would stain the Republic.
And yet, what occupies the headlines?
Impeachment noise. Political theatrics.
Manufactured distractions.
While the public wrestles with floods, inflation, displacement, and hardship, explosive allegations of corruption hang in the air like thick smoke. And where there is thick smoke, the public has every right to demand to see the fire — or to expose whoever lit it.
If these claims are lies, then bring out the evidence and crush them. If they are truths, then bring out the handcuffs and let accountability roar.
A nation cannot survive on diversion.
A democracy cannot breathe under deception.
The Filipino people deserve clarity — not choreography. Transparency — not theatrics. Justice — not political smoke screens.
If billions moved, show the paper trail.
If money crossed borders, show the documentation. If names were dragged, let due process either cleanse or condemn.
Because silence in the face of scandal is not neutrality. It is complicity.
And history has never been kind to leaders who gamble with public trust.Because truth does not fear investigation. Only deception does.
And if billions truly moved in silence, then let justice move louder.
