Abundant water supply
DCWD has an abundant water supply utilizing
• Ground Water: 368,581 CMD; and
• Surface Water: 342,022 CMD
• Total: 710,603 CMD
To date, DCWD is only utilizing 55% of the available water daily while 45% is reserved for future water demand.
The reserve water plays a vital role in ensuring water security by serving as:
A contingency supply during dry season and surface water operation downtime; and Supply to meet the future water demand
All of the reserve water comes from underground – protecting the aquifers to reduce the risk of over extraction of groundwater.
With this abundance, DCWD helps Davao City in achieving its vision to be a world-class metropolitan.
