GCash GStocks PH Leads Digital Stock Investing in the Philippines

GStocks PH of GCash has emerged as the leading digital retail platform for stock investing in the Philippines, with more than 2 million users through its broker, AB Capital Securities Inc.

GStocks PH now represents more than 50% of online retail stock market accounts at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), strengthening GCash’s role in expanding Filipinos’ access to the capital markets.

This was shared by Darvin Sy Su, GCash General Manager for Wealth Management, during an investor relations forum hosted by the Shareholders’ Association of the Philippines (SharePHIL).

Sy Su emphasized the importance of financial literacy in helping Filipinos become more confident investors and make informed financial decisions.

Through GInvest, users can access various investment products, including stocks, funds and bonds, directly through the GCash app. These include GStocks, GFunds and GBonds, allowing Filipinos to invest without having to visit a bank or brokerage office.

According to the PSE, the Philippines had 3.64 million stock market accounts in 2025, up 27.3% from the previous year. More than 99% were retail investor accounts, while over 3.2 million were online accounts.

GCash continues to enhance GStocks to make stock and IPO investing more accessible. It is also preparing the sandbox launch of GStocks Global, which will provide access to US-listed stocks.

Through digital access and financial education, GCash aims to help more Filipinos become knowledgeable and confident investors and better prepare for their long-term financial security.
