With informal surveys showing our team way ahead by proverbial miles, the other party has started massive vote buying operations with each Barangay Chairman receiving P10,000 during every meeting.
Those occupying lower positions, including Purok Chairmen, received P2,000 to P5,000 every time they are summoned or visited in their areas.
This is on top of the “Ayuda” funds which are now being released indiscriminately to get people to support their candidates, in connivance with officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Rice to be distributed in the barangays had been pre-positioned while areas where they are perceived to be very weak had been identified for vote buying operations.
In the face of this massive vote buying operations, we advise voters to take the money and it is theirs anyway.
I have faith in the wisdom of the people of North Cotabato because I know that they understand the grave consequences if they sell their votes.
The 2025 Local Elections is the prelude to the 2028 Grand Encounter between Vice President Sara Duterte and Speaker Martin Romualdez for the Presidency.
This is what is at stake and the people of North Cotabato fully understand this.
