Better and adequate pay for workers.

With this slogan, Trabaho Party-list and its three nominees have intensified its nationwide campaign in their bid to gain seats in the House of Representatives in the mid-term elections to be held next month.

Together with celebrity endorser Melai Cantiveros-Francisco and 1st nominee lawyer Johanne Bautista, the party-list joined a procession for a local fiesta in Navotas City, Metro Manjla last April 6.

Cantiveros-Francisco and Bautista rubbed elbows with thousands of fishermen, day laborers, brokers, and buyers at the Navotas Fisheries Port Complex.

With a bellow of enthusiasm and a megaphone in hand, the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) alumna repeatedly mentioned the party-list’s promise of better and adequate pay for Filipino workers.

Ninai Chavez

On the same day, 2nd nominee Ninai Chavez travelled to Zamboanga del Norte in Mindanao to spread Trabaho’s advocacies at its grand proclamation rally. The event was organized by incumbent Mayor Darel Uy.

Meanwhile, 3rd nominee kagawad Nelson de Vega wooed more than a thousand voters during a sortie in Santiago, Isabela. He discussed Trabaho’s pro-worker legislative agenda in provinces and far-flung areas, which included competitive pay and better Internet connectivity.

Members and supporters of Trabaho from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao also mobilized house-to-house campaigns to reach more stakeholders from the labor sector.

Party-list spokesperson, lawyer Mitchell Espiritu thanked their supporters who went out of their way to send humble contributions to keep the group’s campaign up and running.

“It’s a testament of the public’s call for reforms for additional pay and benefits as well as to improve existing working conditions of the laborers and employees,” Espiritu said of the gesture.
