Davao City – A grand promotional campaign stage on various radio stations had been launched by Karlo and Migz Nograles camp offering the duo as an alternative to the Duterte leadership.
This in consonance with the impeachment moves against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Hugpong ng Tawong Lungsod mayoral candidate Rodrigo Duterte, on the other hand, has not issued statements and had remained mum about any election-related issues and by far was quoted only on matters that pertains to the Marcos – Romualdez massive and multi-billion expenses, the transfers of funds from GSIS, SSS, Philhealth, Maharlika, the sale of tons of gold bars from the Central Bank and the impeachment of VP Sara.
Pro- Nograles commentators , Davao City-based anchormen claimed were recruited from Tagum City, Kidapawan, Mati City, Davao de Oro and Samal. It is obvious that they have not been updated with the City government projects undertaking as the content of their commentaries indicate unawareness.
The former President, being the candidate for Mayor, has been a target of “reluctant” commentary although the Nograles rah rah boys criticized him for not being able to extend “ayudas” even during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic. This is of course untrue because those ordered confined in their respective residences were given food packs.
The Nograles camp takes pride in giving away cash assistance and “ayudas”, a matter which is not a policy of the Duterte government except during calamities.
Despite the promotional campaign, Karlo Nograles and his partymates, the former Spokesperson of President Duterte hardly made a dint in the political turf of the latter.
